®
network, and
then connecting to your home Wi-Fi network.
Note: Use this method to set up your system as an AirPlay device,
only. To access the benefits of SoundTouch™, such as
streaming Internet radio and your music services, you must
add the system to your home Wi-Fi network using the
SoundTouch™ app (see page 9).
1. On the Wave
®
SoundTouch™ music system remote, press the
Power button to turn on the system.
2. On the back of the SoundTouch™ pedestal, press and
hold the Control button for about two seconds until
ALTERNATE SETUP is displayed on the front panel.
3. On your smart device, activate Wi-Fi and join the Bose
®
SoundTouch™ Wi-Fi Network.
4. Open a browser and type: http://192.168.1.1 in the address

The Wi-Fi setup window appears on the screen.

Wi-Fi network.
The Wi-Fi indicator on the rear panel of the SoundTouch™
pedestal momentarily blinks white and then turns solid white
when connected to the network.

control panel and rejoin your home Wi-Fi network.
8. Once the system is on the network, follow these steps to
complete setup:
