System connections
The rear panel of the Wave
®
SoundTouch™ music system provides connections for external equipment.

1 FM 75 ANTENNA
3.5 mm FM antenna connector. See "Using an external antenna" on page 21.
2 Bose link
Input connector for the SoundTouch™ pedestal.
3 AUX IN
3.5 mm stereo input connector for external sources. See "Using the AUX IN connector" on page 20.
4 HEADPHONES
A 3.5 mm stereo headphone connector. See "Using headphones" on page 20.
5 Control button
Places the system in the Power Saving mode (page 26) or initiates an alternate system setup method (page 26).
6 Wi-Fi
®
status indicator:
• Off – No power to the SoundTouch
TM
pedestal or the network is disabled
• White (blinking fast) – Attempting to connect to the network
• White – Connected to the network and active
• Amber (blinking) – Failed to connect or network error
• Amber (blinking fast) – Firmware error - Call Bose service
7 Ethernet connector
Used for a wired network connection.
8 SETUP A
A USB Micro-B input used for connecting to a computer for performing system setup.
9 SETUP B
A USB Standard-A input reserved for future use.
10 SERVICE
Used for special service functions. Not for customer use.
11 SoundTouch
pedestal Bose link cable
Plugs into the Wave
®
music system Bose link connector. It provides power and control signals to the SoundTouch™ pedestal.
