What is the purpose of the extra adapter?
The dual plug adapter is for use on aircraft that are outfitted with a dual
audio jack. (Without this adapter, the user will hear the music or movie
audio in only one earcup.)
The adapter is also an audio attenuator, which reduces the volume of the
airline audio systems output, allowing for greater volume control.
The attenuating dual plug adapter has no effect on the amount of noise
reduction.
What replacement parts are available?
The following items can be purchased as replacement parts or
accessories. The material number is provided for each:

Is the QuietComfort 25 audio cable with
remote and microphone compatible with
my QuietComfort 2 and/or QuietComfort
15 headphones?
No. The earlier QuietComfort 2 and QuietComfort 15 headphones are not
compatible with this cable.
