Ventilation openings – DO NOT BLOCK
CAUTION: Do not cover the ventilation openings, which provide cooling for the built-in electronic
circuitry. Blocking the ventilation openings can cause the system to overheat, resulting in possible
damage to the system.
Note:
The Acoustic Wave
®
music system II also can be powered from a 12V DC source. See
“Operating on DC power” on page 9.
Note:
Bose recommends using a safety agency-approved surge protector on all electronic
equipment. Voltage variations and spikes can damage electronic components in any system.
A quality suppressor can eliminate the vast majority of failures attributed to surges and may be
purchased at electronics stores.
Getting started
We encourage you to begin by listening to the demonstration CD included with your Acoustic
Wave
®
music system II. It will demonstrate the deep, rich musical performance this system is
designed to deliver.
For instructions on playing CDs, see “Playing Compact Discs” on page 10.
